I was sorry to hear this news fifteen years after the sombre event. I knew Sylvain thirty years ago. To me he was a most impressive artist. I greatly admired his single-minded commitment to Art, his varied skills and his prodigious output. I was an art student from London specializing in Film and shot some film with Sylvain and his girlfriend Sophie acting parts in Montreuil. Sadly, I no longer have it. I will always treasure spending New Year's Eve with Sylvain's family (I think) to see in 1982. My commiserations for the loss of a real Artist. Adieu. Berkeley Vincent/18th December, 2011.
